New maps are always fun. Hadnt been in this town more than once and about 20 years ago. Did run first course 2, but didnt take a map of that course home, so its a bit a mess. Did draw it with blue color. Took good routechoices beside the RC to control 4 and 7 on course 1. Towards 4 I should have continued on the "s" curved road. There were even some cars parked on my routechoice wich made it even slower. Towards 7 I spotted the passage wich would have saved me some meters and climb, but didnt dare to take it because I was not 100% sure that I really can pass there and its not either a wall or some olive blocking me from passing. So choose the save RC.
Felt a bit rusty, but seems like I did a good job. Always saw the alternatives and almost always choose the shorter one. Passages after 2 and towards 7 are almost not visible on running speed. Once because its probably to narrow. The other time because of the contour line. Sadly they were rather short, would have been fun to run 4 of these :D

Used the last real warm day of the summer to go to a small competition in my "region". Did run in the area just once at national race some time ago. Remember it to be really stony, wich it was today too. But it was really nice to run without the pressure/need to run fast and be a bit more carefull on the stones. Enjoyed it very much. Had a good begining but tired legs so took its easy. Problems started at control 12 where it was really hard to tell wich small depression was mapped and had a control in it ;). Afterwards I left the control area way to high (wich maybe was because the control was place to far up?!). Wasnt carefull enough towards control 16 and decided to early that what I saw was the small hill in front of the control. Should have checked the compass or the stream wich I should have follwed along. Continued to be a bit off on the next few controls. Just couldnt match the terrain and map all the time. It was quite tricky to read the contours beneath the stony grey areas on the map too. Got some wet feet at the end when we had to cross some knee deep water streams. Anyway, it was fun! :D

Some parts of this forest are sooo beautiful, some are just very green and rough. Old map, so yellow parts are mostly dark green by now. First part just before 1 towards 2 and 3,4,5,6 are really really nice. 7,8,9,10 are really nice to but rough. 11,12,13 the vegetation is not as it is on the map anymore. There has been a heavy storm some years ago wich had caused a lot of windblow. So around 12 are almost no trees anymore but high underbrush. Towards 13 there are a lof of branches on the ground wich they left in the forest. Did a quite big mistake there when i went down a bit parallel. Made another mistake towards 14 where there is a new big path of the machines getting the trees out. Area 14,15 is what i call hard core. Bushes in your face, legs, body, rough ground with a lot of stones, just pure wilderness, not so enjoyable. But really difficult.

Reran the last Competition here wich I missed due to Swedish League. A2-Course wich my father and brother ran. Missed the first control by some meters. These flat areas are a bit tricky since they have a lot of bushes you prefer to run around since they have thorns or are quite large. No big misses. Had to avoid some really nasty part before 6 and a bit bad micro choice to 7. Passed next to 18 without understanding that that small knoll is actually mapped. Nice training in easy pace

Reran a training organized by Simon some time ago. Almost at all places there was still some control out. As always I really liked the area. Had some troubles in the begining, specially to 2 where I was not sure where I was and didnt found a control marker. Bad direction afterwards to 3 and really slow in the wild nature around 10-13. Struggeled afterwards to always have a nice flow. But enjoyed it a lot.

Training on the nicer part of the map. Really nice day out with around 20 degrees and a lot of sun before it set. Training on a reduced map without paths. Had some troubles to spot the flag at control 1, because it had to be placed a bit off because there was nothing to put the control flag. Did had full control towards control 2 until i crossed a path and took a parallel gully as the big one i was aiming for. Was not very carefull to 4 so missed it a bit also. From there on it was more or less fluently. Only to control 11 there were some fresh branches on the ground and in my opinion you could draw a gully more. So once again there was no control where i expected it. Anyway it was a nice training wich used the nice parts of the forest and in wich i passed at some places you usually dont, since you take a path.

Quite difficult course (except for some controls like 4th). Had some troubles, specially seems like i always got a bit to low on these controls where you had to keep hight or climb a bit.
It was quite rough out there since there are a lot of small bushes and undergrowth or fallen branches because of new or old clearings. Blue lines are the new clearings wich are not yet mapped. Would for sure not have been fun in summer. It was ok now
